so what am i ranting about this time you ask? i'll tell you gladly but before i do let me first warn you that this is not for weak-hearted people. if you cant take child abuse and gore do not, i repeat DO NOT, read further...
so as i said in my previous entry, yesterday my counseling course began again with a new module on Drugs and Drug Abuse, Trafficking, etc. and thanks to our lecturer i was made aware of quite a few shocking, disturbing and SICK facts.
allow me to start with the most hideous of them all, and believe me folks i'm not exaggerating. i mean it, if you really cant take child abuse, esp deaths of infants DONT READ THIS! go read one of my more funnier entries instead. this one is in all seriousness.
our lecturer told us of the latest way drug traffickers use to smuggle drugs in and out of countries. it goes like this:
the people involved in the distribution and smuggling to drugs send out people to look for babies. sometimes to find abandoned ones. sometimes to steal them, or (and this is the worst) to buy them from parents who dont want them anymore.
they bring the babies back to wherever their HQ is and the infants are killed. i dont know how and neither do i want to know.
Once the baby is dead, they cut open its stomach and remove its internal organs until the body is all hollowed out.
then they stuff in their packets and packets of drugs into the dead baby's empty body and sew it up again. when the time comes for them to smuggle, they wrap the baby up in a blanket in such a way that it looks as if its sleeping and they give it over to the person in charge of getting it in or out of the country, usually a woman.
and apparently this method has become successful because the police or customs officers dont suspect a thing! not that they can be blamed. would you suspect anything if u saw a woman carrying a sleeping child, not knowing that the baby is really dead and stuffed full of drugs? Obviously not!
then we had other information: i'm sure all of you know about Ecstasy? ever thought of trying it out? well let me ask you this first...did you know that most Ecstasy pills are mixed with traces of rat poison?
or did you know that now, in order to get that extra kick, cigarettes are being dipped in formaldehyde (the chemical used to embalm dead bodies)?
the sad thing about all of this? the number of people taking drugs is rising. the age group? all are under 30 years old, the youngest being 4-6yr olds. and every year BILLIONS are being spent on drugs. money that could be used to feed starving people at least three times a day, or put towards medical research for cures to terminal illnesses, or used to help fight pollution and clean up the environment.
what the f*** is wrong with this world? where are peoples' heads? why is everyone turning a blind eye to this? where are the parents? parents are supposed to be responsible for their kids, yet their kids are busy getting their next fix. where the hell are you looking?
and you wanna know something else? Elite schools and colleges have the highest number of drug-takers, young professionals rank the highest users of drugs. what is wrong with this picture?
people please i beg you! i am not putting this up because i have nothing else to write about. i'm doing this cos i am bloody concerned with what i am seein and hearing and learning. most of what i have said here is usually kept under wraps so that the normal, everyday person doesnt know about it. but thanks to my lecturer, i know, and now you know. be aware of this and if you know anyone who's thinking of turning to drugs, make them aware too. stop being ignorant. you all know the dangers, dont do it for goodness sake!
