Links to all my lovely fanfics!

Go back and read my last entry if you want an actual update (even if it isn't an update in the *present*). *This* update is entirely about my fanfiction account. I have ten things posted up there...

1. Without Having Read the Book... A Summary!: I wrote this for Carley. It's a review of the plot of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," before I read the book. So this is based on the front and back covers and it's extremely silly.

2. Bunny the Cat: This was written for the tutorial. It was an exercise in characters (basically, in bizarre ones). Roxanne, a crazy artiste piano teacher (based on my old teacher Rosine) is interviewing for a position at a crazy, cranky old lady's house. Ethel (based on Jane) broke her leg tripping over her cat, whose name is Bunny. Just their interactions and the interactions with the cat, who was my favorite character, and my tutor's favorite character.

3. So What Do YOU Want To Do, Dear?: Also for the writing tutorials. This was the exercise in dialogue. Megan has a short conversation with her overbearing mother. Mom got mad at me for writing this, but it honestly wasn't based on her. Maybe subconsciously, but it wasn't the intent!

4. Curious George Watches A Movie Being Filmed: This was written for Judy. It's a story about Curious George, and trying to imitate the style, though obviously it doesn't have illustrations.

5. A Butterfly Flutters By: A short poem I wrote for the poetry tutorial. Don't remember the actual assignment, but the poem is about the different ways a small girl and her mother look at the butterfly. It's not very good, but the only other poem that I actually liked had so much formatting (it moved across the page and all; this one did too, but not as dramatically) that I decided it wasn't worth it.

6. Making a Bridle: This was written for the second year of the writing tutorials (a long time ago!). It's a descriptive essay of Kelsey making a bridle for one of her model horses.

7. Don't Forget to Smile: Based on Gramie and Grumps' 50th wedding anniversary party last June, this is a 100th birthday party. It's told in third persun limited omniscient, how I write most of my stories; third persun, but with insight into the mind of one persun, in this case Liz, a girl about my age who's trying to deal with her relatives. The assignment was simply to write about a party but to have people moving in and out of rooms, for this year's fiction tutorial.

8. The Lord of the Rings: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly: This is the only fanfic that I've actually written for the site. Well, to tell the truth, I actually wrote it for Kelsey and Alexa, but they convinced me to post it. I don't think it's that great. It's too slapstick humor, you know, BANGING you on the head with it, it's not terribly original, and has other issues. But it still amuses me. :)

9. An Incredibly Random Conversation: Just what it sounds. I was bored and IMed Kelsey, and we had a conversation that consisted entirely of her putting on different away messages. Some of them are quite interesting, others are quite scary...

10. Ask P. Latta: Something else I only posted because my sisters made me. Carley assigned us to do a newsletter about something; I chose LOTR, Alexa chose pineapples from the planet of Chiakaka (don't ask), and Kelsey chose evil platypuses. I wrote an advice column for her from the viewpoint of an evil platypus. It's ... weird.

If you read, PLEASE review! (again, same deal as last entry-- just don't say you're from Diaryland. Sign my guestbook or leave me a note saying you reviewed it or something like that.)

And while you're on fanfiction, you should read Mel's stories, because they're great!

And now, I'm off to chemistry homework...
